You ever get that feeling, slightly above contentment, which pretty much leaves you in a permanent state of wonder? Imagine walking into an electronics store and being told that all stock has been made free for the next half hour. Thats where I am, the grand, free electronics store of life, and at the moment, i'm happy just browsing the goods. To continue a vaguely functional metaphor, I can be perfectly happy knowing that even after I get out of the store, it's gonna be a good long while before I get any less excited about my purchases, and that is one of the coolest feelings ever.

So why do I feel like this? Well, it could be because I finally accepted Rudebox for the great album it is, it could be because I finally asked out the girl who i'd been silently chasing for 4 years (3 strong weeks, and hopefully many more to follow), or it could be because I finally filled in that Xbox repair claim after about 2 months of red lights flashing on and off.

But I know that, despite the fact that these are all great things, none are the real reason for my feelings. The REAL reason is, after about an hour lying awake in bed last night, I finally realised that the pet that I had been joking about getting for the past three years, I might actually just get.

'So what?' you may be thinking. 'Surely this can't be better than those other three things, which are undoubtedly much cooler'. WRONG.

Allow me to describe said pet. It is a goat. It has a novelty mustache on at all times, along with a clip-on bowtie and a wicked-stylin' monacle to compliment his glowing green faux-hawk. His name is "Pooch", and I think that i'm in love with him. He does funny little goat dances whenever you put on up-tempo music, and attempts the waltz with the nearest piece of furniture whenever you play down-tempo music. He attempts to speak, but only manages to make cute little goat noises, and frequently falls over, as if in a permanent state of inebriation.

He is my everything, without him, I would cease to exist- a dilemma indeed, considering that he has yet to exist himself.

So what if i'm crazy for prioritising a fictional farmyard animal over my new girlfriend and upcoming exams? My decision to aquire Pooch is the icing on the cake to one of the best months of my life.
